TEA & FLOWERS

While in San Francisco for the Rising Tide Society leader retreat, I wondered the downtown core, did a little shopping, then found my way down to the Golden Gate Park.tea & flowers - halifax wedding photographers tea & flowers - halifax wedding photographers san francisco - halifax wedding photographers It was there that I stumbled upon the enchanting Japanese Tea Garden. As soon as I walked in, I felt a lovely sense of calm, the park was filled with enormous trees, beautiful water features, and the sweetest little tea garden.san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographersI sat there for over an hour, eating ramen and drinking sencha tea while I charged my phone is what Teddy would call the “magical lawn outlet”, because as amazing as Uber is, it sucks the life out of your phone charge. I saw a meme on Instagram that said, “I have to plug in my iPhone so often that I feel like I have a landline again”, that was definitely me on this trip. I finished lunch, unplugged the phone and walked through the pathways, trying to get lost, listening to the breeze in the trees and little birds chirping; very soothing. If you are ever in San Francisco, the tea garden is a must visit. san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographers san francisco - destination wedding photographersThe park is massive (see the map), and there are so many things to see while in there, you really need to take a full day to enjoy everything.

I left the tea house and followed the park street for about 30 minutes, admiring the massive cyprus trees.san francisco - california wedding photographerIn the distance, I could see this intriguing white structure and it sparked my interest. As I got closer, I could hear music, a collaboration of gentlemen, sitting together, and signing their hearts out for all of the passers by. I stopped for 10 minutes and took it all in, and even got a wink out of one of them (I blushed).san francisco - california wedding photographer san francisco - california wedding photographer san francisco - california wedding photographer san francisco - california wedding photographer I ascended the stairs to and looked up to read “CONSERVATORY OF FLOWERS” and my an overwhelming warmth washed over me, I couldn’t contain myself, I was beyond excited.san francisco - california wedding photographer I love flowers, plants, and everything to do with foliage. I cannot explain this place, I think I will simply show you. You may spot another Foxhound Collection candle, I left it behind in a place that it could be found, so that a lucky person could take it with them. I really hope someone is enjoying it as we speak.

I also went an hour before close, and had the WHOLE PLACE to myself, it was the best way to experience it.
