Darcy is a very dear friend of mine, and Teddy and I were so honoured when asked to photograph their wedding.  We knew it would be a great experience and we couldn’t wait for the day.  We really can’t say enough about all of the Yarmouth–Cape Sable Island hospitality, what a bunch; we love all of you!  The day was fantastic, the location was so wonderful and the cottages we stayed in the first night were perfect. We had never been to the southern most tip of Nova Scotia, and we can’t wait to go back.

Darcy and Shawn looked stunning, and there was a lot of love for the both of them flying around all day.

The day started with some fog, make that a lot of fog, and we were wondering if we would even be able to see people through it for photos.  It all cleared up and the sun came out at the perfect time.  The guys cruised around in the water, while the girls at A Perfect Setting made the ladies party ready. Darcy’s flowers were incredible and were put together by Petals and Lace Flower Shop (such great work), and the yummy cake was made by Karen Presley Bower.  There is a lot of talent in Yarmouth/Cape Sable Island….

The evening ended with the release of so many Chinese lanterns, a swim (“belly flop from the third tier”) in the Yarmouth fountain (no photographic evidence, but you know who you are…), and an unsuccessful hunt for pizza at 3:00AM.

Teddy and I really love it when a couple is open to our ideas and they trust us and just go along with it.
