Jennifer & Elliott had the most beautifully overcast, foggy day for their wedding. The sky was like a giant soft box that made every colour true and vibrant. These two tied the knot at the beautiful and historic Halifax Club. Teddy and I really adore the intimacy, and all the little nooks and crannies of the venue.
You may remember these two from their romantic engagement session which took place all over the countryside. Jenn & Elliott met at Acadia while studying, so we had incorporated the campus into their engagement photos. Then by chance, while standing out front of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic during their bridal portraits, we were invited to hop on board the CSS ACADIA.
Sandra Barry of I Do Flowers prepared these gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres. Jennifer’s bouquet was made up of peonies, lisianthus, coral and cream roses, brunia berries with dusty miller leaves. The handkerchief on her handle was initialed heirloom Belgium lace; a gift from her mother.
The amazing make-up on all of the ladies was done by Heather Rose & Angela Hix, and hair by Orla MacEachern.
The delicious cupcakes were made by the amazing ladies at Layers downtown (they never disappoint), and Dave of True North DJs kept the party going long into the night, with endless dancing and antics.
