Mother daughter love is a special kind of love, and I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to capture beautiful moments between Alison and Ava last week. There were giggles, belly laughs and some tears shared between these two stunning women. Alison reached out to me wanting to have photographs done of her and her daughter Ava, to celebrate her turning 13, and my favourite beach at sunset was the perfect place for their portraits.

I love mother daughter portraits, it is a wonderful thing to watch the interactions and it makes wish more women would do this for themselves and their mothers. It makes the most beautiful keepsake, something to look back on, and remember the love and connection shared at different stages of life.

Ava reminded me so much of the Olson twins in these images, and had me melting all evening with her grace, and delicate features. She is a dancer, and I just had to capture her in motion at sunset. How could she not be a stunner, her mother Alison looks just like Kate Middleton!
