Mark & Erica were married at the Atlantica Oak Island on August 16th.  This was a very high stress week for Teddy and I, because William our 7 year old best friend (dog) had taken a very bad fall down stairs 2 days prior and on the day of Erica & Mark’s beautiful day we still didn’t know what his prognosis was.

Teddy and I are not the kind of people to let anything phase us when we are in the zone to fulfill a promise and obligation.  We are always true to our word, and do what we say we will do, regardless of what life has to dish out.  That said, we arrived for their day with our game faces and pushed through the whole day, start to finish.  It was nice to have the distraction of so many lovely people around.  We had filled both Erica and Mark in our situation and assured them that we would not let it ruin our day, or their wedding.

The weather couldn’t make up its mind, Erica really wanted it to be sunny for their ceremony, and she got exactly what she wanted.  The ceremony was about to get underway, the rain stopped and the beautiful sun sent down warm rays on everyone.  It truly couldn’t have been more fluidly orchestrated.

We first met these two at their engagement session last year, and I have to say they were the most on the ball couple we have ever encountered.  Their wedding was in August of 2014, and they chose us to capture their day in 2012; that is organized.

We had a nice day, despite the circumstances,  and in the end we were so thankful that we were chosen to be their photographers.  When we presented them with their images last month, we were extremely humbled by the beautiful testimonial that they gave us, read it here.

Thank you Mark and Erica, for being so understanding and thoughtful about our sweet William, for having the most hilarious wedding party, and for buying a bad ass used turquoise Chevy Cavalier to burn around while you were in Halifax.
