This truly has been a whirlwind of a week.

I spent my last days of the day job in our Toronto office, it was hard to be away from home.  The upside; I was able to connect with friends, and be reunited with my beautiful maid of honour after not having seen her for 5 years. I literally had not seen her since the day after our wedding in 2009.  That said, I had never met her youngest daughter Isla; shameful really.

I had a wonderful time with them at their home in the Beach, in Toronto; we had dinner, a renaming ceremony (my name is now Sandy, Isla makes the rules), and squeezed in 15 minutes for a few photos.  It was a little hectic but lovely at the same time.  Jaime was very open to my suggestion of a few quick shots in the yard, poor Isla (second child) barely has any photos on the wall.

So, I couldn’t leave without capturing her beautiful face.

I brought Ainsley and Isla Oh Dina headbands, they were handmade by my dear friend Nicole McInnis in Halifax. The girls loved them and put them on right away, right before they tore off into the backyard to launch themselves off the swings….

Time flies, I know I have said it before, but it really does.  I can tell you one thing, I will not let another 5 years go by without you again, my amazing friends….  Toronto really isn’t that far away….
