TODAY marks the countdown….  35 days until I make my BIG jump off the day job ledge!

Hired back in 2004, fresh out of uni, party animal, single mother; I was very green in the big, scary corporate world.  AuRico has since provided me with so many opportunities and experiences that I will cherish and be thankful for until the day I die; I met Bill Clinton for heck’s sakes!

I really wouldn’t be in such a great spot in life if it wasn’t for my time spent with AuRico.  I have travelled to the most beautiful and remote places, and I am so lucky to have been able to see so many things that I otherwise would never have seen.

At this very moment, I am experiencing many emotions, from being the most excited I have ever been in my life (sorry Teddy, I really love you and you are very exciting), to being terrified to bits over the FEAR of not having a steady paycheck, and also so sad at the thought of leaving all of my friends who I have bonded and grown with, learned from and likely irritated a lot over the past 10 years with AuRico Gold (formerly, Gammon Gold, formerly Gammon Lake).  This was an incredibly difficult decision to make on my part, and it involved many sleepless nights, and countless hours of thoughtful consideration.

Dear AuRico family, I have so much to thank you for and I will miss you all like crazy.  My time with all of you has been very rewarding, and I am truly grateful for being given the opportunity to be part of such an amazing group of people.  I am very proud of the work we have been able to accomplish together. I look forward to continuing our relationship, and keeping in touch as I move on to the next chapter of my life.  Lucky for you though, I am uber persistent when it comes to keeping in touch.

My soul needs this change; I have so many ideas just waiting to burst out of my brain, and I cannot wait to get started and finally live creatively.  I have spent 25% of my life on this earth with AuRico, and now its time for me to embrace this new venture and really get serious about what it is I love and do best; freeze time…
