Today, my most favourite person on the earth turned thirty five. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALT, you are a rocket!

I love this woman with all of my heart, for so many reasons. Mostly because she is hilarious, sweet, kind, genuine, thoughtful, and just the right amount of goof. We don’t talk everyday, sometimes we go weeks, but she can pull me out of ANY funk, and makes me feel like a superhero. She has seen me at my worst, and she still loves me.  I am so very lucky that she stumbled into my life 12 years ago, because I wouldn’t have made it through much without her.

She is open to all of my ideas; she gets up with me at the crack of dawn, will stay out until late into the night until we get the shots we want, and lay around in a farmer’s field topless to get the shot, trusting me to give her the sign when someone is coming (Nope, those photos are not in the series below if you were wondering). She lets me play dress us with her at least once a year, and never complains about what I squeeze her into, or put on her head.

We were lucky that my Oh Dina! flowercrowns all fit in my suitcase, because I think she wore every single one that I own in this series.

She is the light of my life, I miss every ounce of her, and I wish I was in Edmonton with her drinking a cold glass of white wine.

See you in May dork, can’t wait to see what we try and pull off then.
